1. Why did Velez Capital Management change its name to Team Trading?
We changed our name to better reflect the benefits we offer traders through our commitment to helping them maximize their success, including:

2. Is Team Trading a brokerage firm?
No. Team Trading is a private equity trading firm that trains and employs a team of professional traders to manage and trade its own brokerage account. Team Trading traders are hired and given trading authority to trade the firm's account.
3. Is Team Trading hiring me?
No. You are not being hired in the traditional sense, with benefits and a salary. If you complete our 7-day training, you will be offered a live funded account to trade on the firm's behalf and have the opportunity to earn a living from trading the markets. You will be compensated based on your performance as an independent contractor. Refer to our Equity and Forex Trader Advancement Tables for payout rates
4. What will my responsibilities be as a trader for Team Trading?
Your only duty will be to trade. Team Trading students will be taught several proven methods that have produced consistent gains for our existing traders. Over the course of a few weeks, a trader will ultimately settle on a style that best suits his/her profile and personality. Styles of trading can never be generic. They must match the trader's psychological make-up. This is why one trader can make a fortune with one method, while another trader can lose a fortune with the very same one. We will help you find what style of trading is best suited for you.
5. Do I need to deposit $5,000 risk capital?
No! A risk deposit is not necessary for those who graduate from our training program. Our graduates begin their professional trading careers trading "our" money. They do not risk their own money. In fact, Team Trading does not profit unless you profit. In a very real sense, we become partners only in your success as a trader. If you lose and call it quits, all the losses are ours. It's only when you begin to make money that we benefit. As a firm, this gives us every incentive in the world to do our best to turn you into a profitable trader, as quickly as possible.

7. Do I receive a salary if Team Trading hires me as a trader?
Team Trading traders are paid on performance only. Compensation is based on each individual trader's net profit and loss. We provide a carefully structured Trader Advancement Program that will increase the capital that you can trade as you demonstrate consistent profitability. There is no cap on the levels that can be achieved, so your potential revenue is virtually unlimited.
8. I like everything I have read, but don't live near any of your branch offices. Is trading remotely for Team Trading possible?
Yes! Years ago, the answer to this question would have been a resounding "no." Today, due to incredible technological advancements in the professional trading field, we can monitor, assist, and teach a trader remotely just as effectively as we could on-site. While some traders do thrive in the energetic environment of a trading room, many do better from the comfort and solitude of their own homes. What's more, our remote traders experience all that happens on our main trading floor through our private, Web-based (virtual) trading room.
9. How do I get started as a trader?
The Master Trader Program is 7 full days of intense training. This is the program that has produced the largest number of trading successes for Team Trading.
10. When can I withdraw a part or all of my profits?
Monthly trading profit checks are disbursed on the 20th of the month following the one in which they were generated. For example, profits earned during the month of January would be paid no later than the 20th of February.
11. Can I receive additional buying power as a Team Trading trader?
Yes. However, this increase will always be granted based on your trading performance. In our program, a Team Trading trader earns greater and greater exposure through performance. As most traders know, the bigger the buying power, the bigger the potential profits. This extra potential is earned via "consistency" more than anything else. In the professional trading world, consistency, married with low draw-downs and/or small account swings, is king.
12. I love the program offered at Team Trading, but can't trade full-time at the moment. Can I become a part-time Team Trading trader?
Yes. Part-time traders often grow into some of our best traders. First of all, their growth as professional traders occurs in smaller, more digestible periods. Secondly, the lessons learned are steady, and the part-time nature of their trading reduces the risk of being overloaded and overwhelmed with too much at one time. Some of our best full-time traders today began as part-timer traders.
13. Your Premium Services look very interesting to me. Do Team Trading traders gain access to them for a cost or are they free?
As a Team Trading trader, you will receive the Team Trading Gold Suite free of charge for life. The only goal we have is to help a trader become as profitable as he/she can be. Our services have been proven to increase the odds of a trader’s becoming consistently profitable, so as long as a trader is risking our money in the markets, he/she will have free access to all we have to offer. The Team Scanner Pro™ is available to you at our cost of $60.00 per month. If an item costs Team Trading money to provide, it will be passed on to the trader at cost. No mark-up will be added. Our goal is to profit from trading profits only.
14. Is there an additional fee for retaking the training provided by Team Trading?
No. As a professional Team Trading trader, you will be allowed to retake all the education provided by Team Trading free for life. There is never an additional fee, which makes our program very powerful. In fact, our founder, Oliver Velez, encourages traders to take the full training program (both the 2-day seminar and 5-day Live Trading Lab) no less than 3 times. Some traders have taken it as many as 20 times.
Note: ONLINE retakes for 2-day/5-day courses are available only if they are arranged no later than 4 PM ET the Tuesday before the event. While every effort will be made to accommodate ONSITE retakes, seating is limited and therefore subject to availability.
15. What is your refund/cancellation policy for your training programs?
There is a 10% cancellation fee on all refunds that are requested prior to taking any classes. In such cases, you must call Team Trading Customer Service at (866) 598-3539/ (212) 221-3715 between 9 and 5 PM ET before any refund will be given. If you attend an event and then decide that you want a refund, there will be a 10% cancellation fee, but your request must be given to your instructor no later than 1PM of the first day of the event. After 1PM, no refunds will be granted.
